Great news to share - Sisters of Code program is selected by MIT Solve, an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute for Technology as one of the 35 new Solver teams from 20 countries at Virtual Solve Challenge Finals, Solve’s annual social impact pitch event. Solve’s expert judges have selected top projects from over 2,600 applicants from 135 countries.
Sisters of Code is one of the 7 projects in the category Learning for Girls and Women that will continue development under the guidance of MIT Solve team.
Mrs.Natalja Rodionova, founder of Sisters of Code is sharing: "It was an amazing experience to present Sisters of Code at MIT Solve challenge in front of the international judges and meet fellow innovators from all the round the world. The fact that Sisters of Code is selected to join the Solvers 2020 team would allow growing the Sisters of Code community accordingly to the best international standards and create new partnerships. We hope that with the help of the amazing MIT Solve community we will be able to discover new possibilities to support our mission to provide a safe and supportive environment for female students to discover coding skills and grow their presence in the digital economy. It is an outstanding fact that Sisters of Code is the first program from Cambodia that has received such important recognition and attention."
MIT Solve Learning for Girls & Women Challenge received 422 applications from 80 countries globally. Expert judges selected 7 solutions at Virtual Solve Challenge Finals that will continue their work as MIT Solvers. Sisters of Code is proud to be among the selected solutions.
