In Episode 6, Sisters of Code provides you with the opportunity to meet a successful woman who works in ICT and owns a tech company. Mrs. Neng Sokneang is a CEO of Kokopon. She will share her experience entering the Tech workforce.
Mrs. Sokneang was born in the countryside in a family of farmers. However, unlike her parents, she pursued her technology knowledge by completing the Data Operation Management program from PNC Passerelles Numériques Cambodia. After further strengthening her Software development skills during intensive training from Korea Software HRD Center, she graduated in computer science at the Royal University of Phnom Penh. The following work with a Korean fintech solutions development corporation put into practice her skills and deepened her expertise. This and her strong will to make a positive impact where a solid base for her at the start of her own mission-driven tech project called Kokopon. Successful on her mission Sokneang was selected within 10 Cambodian Rising Stars by Southeast Asia Globe in 2019 and elected in the Advisory Committee of Young Women Entrepreneurs 2020 at SHE Investments. Getting back to her roots of farming with a focus on social impact, Sokneang repositioned Kokopon to support farmers and local producers at the beginning of 2020.
Having a goal to become a role model for women in difficult economic situations, she has been encouraging women around her to pursue their life goals through technology and business and training #MSME owners to stay resilient during Covid-19 and build their digital capacity.
