On November 29, 2024, Sisters of Code was proud to be recognised as one of the top three finalists in the category Best Digital Inclusion Award at the prestigious annual Cambodia Digital Awards 2024 ceremony. Though, we did not win the first prize, we are honoured to receive a special recognition prize from His Excellency Dr. Chea Vandeth, Minister of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC). The award ceremony, attended by high-ranking officials from ministries, development partners, private sectors, and start-ups, was an unforgettable experience for our team.
Being named among the top three finalists and having the chance to pitch our Digital Skills Educational Program in front of the Minister and distinguished guests was absolutely a major milestone for us and a powerful validation of our mission.
Among 64 competitive applicants, the Sisters of Code Digital Skills Educational Program successfully made it through the application process to the semi-final pitch, and ultimately to the final pitch, marking a major achievement for us. As one of the top three finalists for the Best Digital Inclusion Award, this recognition highlights our ongoing efforts to empower women and girls through tech education and strengthens our mission to create a more inclusive digital future.
Sisters of Code has been on a mission to create a safe, welcoming space where girls and women can dive into tech and prepare for future careers in the industry in order to empower them to lead, innovate, and break barriers in the tech world.
Looking ahead, we're full of excitement and ready to take things to the next level! We’re eager to keep pushing boundaries, expand our programs, and create even more opportunities for young women to shine.
