On March 15, 2025, the Sisters of Code ambassadors organized a special graduation event for the Sisters of Code Club students in Battambang. The event was a fun and meaningful afternoon where 24 participants, including students, teachers, parents, and ambassadors, came together to celebrate all the amazing achievements after the students committed to the 15-week program. Sisters of Code is proud and deeply grateful for the trust and commitment of LED - Liechtenstein Development Service to have helped make a big impact on these students' lives. Also, we would like to extended our graduate to Net Yang High School for offering comfortable learning environment to Battambang students.
Teachers Share Their Support

One of the most touching parts of the event was when teachers from Net Yang High School and Preah Monivong High School shared their support for the students. The teachers weren’t just proud of how much the students had learned in coding but also how much they had grown as individuals.
A teacher from Net Yang High School said, “Watching these girls grow in both their technical skills and self-confidence has been incredibly rewarding. They've shown tremendous perseverance, and I’m so proud of everything they’ve accomplished.”

Another teacher from Preah Monivong High School added, “Through Sisters of Code activities, these students have learned that they can take on any challenge. They now have the confidence to think outside the box and are ready to be future leaders.”
It was heartwarming to see how proud and supportive the teachers were. Their words reminded everyone how important it is to have mentors who believe in you and encourage your growth. The Sisters of Code program helped the students not only gain tech skills like coding and problem-solving but also become more confident, creative, and independent.
Sisters of Code Students Share Their Successful Stories

Two of the 2024 Sisters of Code Club students, Heang Ancho and Chem Sreyneang, shared their personal stories about their experience in the program.
Heang Ancho explained how, at first, she was nervous because she had never tried coding before. But through weekly lessons, hands-on projects, and the support of her classmates and ambassadors, she started to believe in herself. She loved learning HTML and CSS, creating her first website, and solving coding challenges.

Chem Sreyneang shared how the club not only taught her programming and web design but also important skills like communication, teamwork, and time management. She really enjoyed working on her final project, where she applied everything she had learned.
Their stories inspired everyone in the room, especially younger students who were watching and dreaming about joining the club next year. It was clear that these girls had grown into more confident, skilled, and motivated individuals ready to face new challenges in school, tech, or any future goals they set.
Celebrating Together
After the inspiring speeches and presentations, the event ended with the handover of certificates. Ms. Chin Somavatey, the Sisters of Code Ambassador, delivered the closing speech. She thanked everyone who made the program a success—the students for their dedication, the teachers for their support, and the community for believing in the mission of empowering girls through technology.
The ceremony wasn’t just about the students finishing the program, it was a celebration of everything they had accomplished and the bright futures ahead of them. We wish our graduates to continue their journey in exploring technology, own talents and achieving their goals.
