On the morning of March 16, 2025, Sisters of Code organized a graduation ceremony for students who successfully completed their journey in Sisters of Code Club 2024.

In 2024, 101 students successfully completed the program! We were glad to gather everyone at the graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements of hard work. Parents, relatives, and friends also joined in to support and cheer for our graduates.

The event began with a welcoming speech by Sisters of Code Founder, Mrs. Natalja Rodionova. She warmly welcomed the students by expressing her admiration for their efforts in their studies. "Learning is a process of overcoming challenges," she mentioned.
Mrs. Natalja also extended her heartfelt appreciation to parents for their unwavering support in their daughters' journey toward tech education. Reflecting on Sisters of Code’s growth, she shared how the program started with just two groups of students in 2019 and has now expanded to having over 500 graduates across provinces in Cambodia.
Trainers play a crucial role in guiding students through the learning journey from start to finish. At the graduation ceremony, Sisters of Code Club Trainer, Ms. Pich Puth Sreyneath, took the stage to share her reflections on this transformative experience.

Sreyneath first joined Sisters of Code Ambassador Program 2024 as a learner. Over time, she developed both technical and soft skills, which helped her build the confidence to take the next challenge of leading her own coding club.
She shared how much she enjoyed working with her students and described them as hard-working, purposeful, and incredibly creative.
Our trainers have been a constant source of guidance, encouragement, and inspiration throughout the course. They helped students navigate challenges and discover their full potential. As a small token of appreciation, our Director presented beautiful flower bouquets for our incredible trainers.

The students, in turn, were filled with excitement, appreciation, and energy as they gathered to celebrate the results of their 18 weeks of hard work. Taking center stage, 9 students stepped forward one by one to share their reflections in a way that was both heartfelt and meaningful.

Beginning with Phoeurt Rathana, a graduate of Sisters of Code Club 2024, she shared that she greatly enjoyed the course provided by Sisters of Code, where she had the opportunity to strengthen her coding skills, build her own portfolio, and expand her network. With the help of our Club trainer, Ms. Chiv Mengchou, Rathana successfully completed her studies by developing a perfume website.

Second, our graduate, Phorn Noucheav, highlighted how Sisters of Code had a positive impact on her learning journey. Despite having a full-time class on weekdays, Noucheav remained persistent and developed skills in programming, problem-solving, and communication. With the support of her trainer, Ms. Chiv Mengchou, she successfully completed her studies with an innovative and impactful project called AgriTech, a website designed to sell organic rice.

Third, Keo Rita emphasized that Sisters of Code not only taught her how to learn coding but also provided a place where she could communicate with people. She also highlighted how our trainer, Ms. Phan Phatsa, made learning enjoyable while providing valuable instruction. By the end of her studies, she had created a website for phone sales, which had once only been an idea in her head but was now a reality.

Our youngest student of 2024, Ly Lihuor, a 12-year-old filled with passion for tech, was courageous enough to deliver a presentation in front of an audience about how the course has changed her study life. She shared that she learned how to code and improved her communication skills with older people. Additionally, she developed a game as her final project during the course with the help and continuous support of our trainer, Ms. Heng Vattey.

Sovan Monisochineath, a graduate from the coding club led by Ms. Mom Ratha, also shared the post-program impact on her decision to pursue higher education. She mentioned that the program has boosted her confidence in coding, and more importantly, it played a key role in solidifying her interest in majoring in computer science in college. She is grateful for the opportunity, believing it will open doors for many more opportunities in the not-too-distant future. She completed her studies by developing an Egg Collector game.

Another graduate, Choeun Linda, expressed her sincerest appreciation and gratitude to Sisters of Code for the initiative to empower young girls in tech. Having previously had no experience in tech, Linda dedicated time and effort to develop her coding skills and familiarize herself with digital tools with the support of her trainer, Ms. Yun Sokly. Ultimately, Linda managed to build her own website and created many innovative, creative, and eye-catching digital templates.

To Rysha is another outstanding student who overcame her initial struggles in coding with the support of her trainer, Ms. Norn Dany. Starting with no experience, she gradually developed a strong foundation in coding and was able to use the skills gained to build a website for ice cream sales. Rysha emphasized that Sisters of Code Club provided her with fundamental knowledge in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, programming, as well as skills in critical thinking.

Chum Chanlinna, a graduate from Ms. Pich Puth Sreyneath's coding club, also shared a similar reflection on how Sisters of Code has boosted her confidence in tech and equipped her with essential coding skills, programming knowledge, and valuable soft skills, including leadership. She created an ice cream website, transforming her favorite idea into an amazing project by using her creativity and newfound skills.

Finally, our student, Kuy Daly, offered a comprehensive reflection on the changes Sisters of Code Club has brought to her learning journey and career prospects. She shared that she has gained technical knowledge, developed a growth mindset, and boosted her confidence. Additionally, she has enhanced her teamwork and communication skills. Daly also highlighted several projects she developed during her studies with the support of her trainer, Ms. Kun Raksa, including projects using Code.org, Scratch, HTML, and more.
The presentations delivered by our students were a testament to the effectiveness of our program. Although not all students took the stage, the rest of our students also participated by sharing their voices and thoughts about the program through a survey.
Sisters of Code team carefully analyzed the data collected from the survey, which received 77 responses. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with 100% of students reporting that the program improved their coding skills, and 100% stating that they would recommend the program to other girls passionate about tech education.
To acknowledge our students' hard work, perseverance, and dedication throughout the entire course, Sisters of Code is delighted to present the certificates to all of our graduated students. The certificates represent the skills, knowledge, and confidence they have gained, and serve as a testament to their resilience and determination to succeed. We are incredibly proud of each of our students for reaching this important milestone and for their contributions to making the program a success.
As we were about to wrap up the ceremony, a special moment unfolded when we invited a student's parent to share their feelings about witnessing their daughter's achievement. The mother of our student Choeun Linda could not hold back her joy, smiles, and laughter as she spoke about her daughter. She expressed her deep appreciation for Sisters of Code for providing this free learning opportunity for young girls and admired Linda's dedication in spending her weekends nowhere else but with the program, continually developing her tech skills.
She also acknowledged the rapid evolution of Artificial Intelligence in our world and emphasized the importance of acquiring digital skills to thrive in the digital economy. "My daughter can now help me with my business using her tech skills," she shared proudly.

To add to the celebration, another special moment was set aside for our students to enjoy some delicious snacks, cake, and refreshing drinks, giving them the opportunity to engage, connect, and share their experiences with one another. It was a heartwarming occasion, where our students could bond with their peers in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do. Their joy inspires us to keep pushing forward with our mission to empower more girls and women in tech. Knowing we’re making a real difference in their lives motivates us to continue helping students grow, learn, and thrive in this ever-evolving digital world.
