To support the economic advancement of the Kingdom of Cambodia, education is the key. By ensuring innovative, skills-focused, and inclusive educational programs, as well as growing interest in technology among female students, Sisters of Code have collaborated with the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications CBRD Fund for two years to provide free leadership and coding skills training to the future Ambassadors, as well as establish new Sisters of Code clubs across Cambodia.
On Sunday, August 21, we celebrated the graduation of Sisters of Code Ambassadors 2022 with the participation of Ms. Tan Sodani, Director of the Department of Policy, Technology, and Information at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, and Mrs. Yin Huotely the representative from CBRD Fund. During the application period in early February, there were 94 applications from female students from 13 different provinces in Cambodia, including Phnom Penh, Svay Reang, Pursat, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Krojes, Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Kandal, and Kompot Province. Thirty students have been chosen to join the 16 weeks program in March, with two groups of online and in-person classes. We have accepted 30 students to study in two groups, both online and offline, with 15 students in each group. The study program was launched on March 3 and completed on July 31st, 2022, with 19 students graduating and 5 clubs to be launched from October 2022.
