On January 11, 2020 Sisters of Code students had a special graduation event to receive certificates of achievement and to celebrate successful completion of the 18 weeks long educational program.
During the event students have presented their projects, as well as shared their experience about their journey with the Sisters of Code.
The graduation event was hosted by the distinguished guests:
- H.E. Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Mrs.Kim Sethany, who has highlighted the importance of the digital skills trainings for the girls.
- H.E. Ambassador of the British Embassy in Cambodia, Mrs. Tina Redshaw has shared encouragement and support for the students to continue exploring possibilities and learning important digital skills. Thanks to the support of the British Embassy in Cambodia, students of the Sisters of Code program could attend lessons for free.
- Mrs.Natalja Rodionova, founder of the Sisters of Code and managing director of the IT Academy STEP Cambodia, who has developed and been implementing this program, thanked students and parents for the commitment to complete the program, especially since the lessons were taking place on the weekends.
The event was attended by parents to share the joy together with the Sisters of Code, which was a very proud moment for everyone.
