Free Website Development & UX/UI Design Course Expands to Battambang!

Sisters of Code is thrilled to announce the expansion of our FREE Website Development & UX/UI Design course to Battambang province as part of the Employment Skills Program 2025.


This initiative is made possible through our partnership with the National University of Battambang to enable more female students to gain essential digital skills.

Details about the Course

The Website Development & UX/UI Design course aims to equip students with essential skills in web design, front-end development, and user experience (UX/UI) principles. With a strong focus on practical learning, you’ll gain hands-on experience using industry-standard tools to create engaging digital experiences. Beyond technical skills, we also provide career preparation, including portfolio development, CV writing, and job application guidance. Whether you’re aiming to become a UX/UI designer, front-end developer, or freelancer, this course will set you up for success.


Class Schedule

The class will take place every Sunday at the National University of Battambang. Classes will run from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This program provides a focused and intensive learning environment over a 14 weeks.

Who Can Join?

The eligibility requirements for Website Development and UX/UI Design class in Battambang are as follows:

  • Be a Cambodian female student aged 20 years or older.

  • Be a university student at the National University of Battambang, preferably as a 3rd or 4th-year student.

  • Interested in technical and design careers, such as web developers and UI/UX designers.

  • Own a personal laptop for study and practice, with strong computer skills

  • Commit to attending lessons every Sunday for 14 weeks.

  • Have a good understanding of English.

  • Be willing to pursue internship opportunities upon completion of the program.


Expected Outcomes

By the end of the course, students are expected to:

  • Gain fundamental knowledge of web development, essential tools and

    fundamental coding skills for front-end web development

  • Acquire practical skills in using design tools such as Canva and WIX.

  • Develop a personal portfolio by working on projects that showcase web design and development skills.

  • Expand networking opportunities by connecting with like-minded individuals in website development and UX/UI design.

  • Strengthen essential soft skills, including creativity, leadership, and teamwork, which are valuable for professional growth.

  • Enhance chances for internships at relevant companies.


Program Timeline

  • Application Open: March 14, 2025

  • Application Closed: March 26, 2025

  • Shortlist Announcement: April 1, 2025

  • Interview: April 5-7, 2025

  • Selected Students Announcement: April 10, 2025

  • Program starts: May 4, 2025

This opportunity is for students at National University of Battambang (NUBB). If you are interested, you can apply through our ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. Please note that the course will accommodate only 30 female students.


Please also pay attention to the application timeline and ensure that your application is submitted by March 26, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
